MISSION STATEMENT

We live in a world where truth, facts and even our understanding of reality are increasingly coming under attack. This is what is known as the age of ‘post-truth’. Unregulated digital technologies have also seen the increased circulation of conspiracy theories that have challenged evidence-based research and scientifically rigorous knowledge. It is also fair to say that scientists and academics have not done enough to communicate their work, build relationships, and establish trust. The Comics CoLab is intent on finding new ways to use the medium of comics and related graphic techniques to work on all three of those areas. In an age of AI, we are also very much committed to the human and to the belief that the best results take place through dialogue amongst a diverse range of collaborators.
